Xmas in Mexico: Part 1

Today my aunt brought a tree to decorate and ornaments from home. 🌲 I decorated the tree myself and I think it looks as good as I could make it with what we had hehe. I used colorful lights to put around my window because, who doesn’t love putting lights in their room? I just hope my cat doesn’t pull it down. 🎁🎄🇲🇽
Tomorrow we are going to a cathedral and hopefully shopping. I’m excited and happy with my life right now and just wanted to make a post about today.
I’m thinking about all the bad lives people are living and what those less fortunate are going through. I’m so lucky to be where I am and have the freedom I have.
Also last night a man was at my front door lol. I noticed because my cat was acting really weird hiding but peeking to where the door was so I went to check and this man was crouching under the door. How could he have gotten up on here? In this area the rooftops are kind of connected and you can’t jump them unless you come out from your building or you climb up 15 feet walls. He was so close to my unlocked door and I wasn’t scared but just thinking about what could have happened scares me. How am I still here right now when he could have busted through the side window? There’s lots of moments like that where I think I’m so happy nothing bad happened.
Now I’m going to sleep downstairs with my grandparents in this big spare room they have. I’m grateful that nothing happened and he was just being weird, probably tried to steal but didn’t know someone was awake. Maybe he was afraid of my cat too lol
Anyways I’m just so grateful and I’m here able to put up a tree and have fun decorating. Remember to lock your doors and have a cat or dog as a burglar alarm 🙂
P.S I put part one in the title because I’m thinking of writing a series of posts about the Christmas season here in Mexico. I love writing about my day to strangers too lol
