Movie and Series list to get you in the Halloween/Autumn & procrastination spirit!

100 spooky autumn movies

Hey fellow procrastinators. Recently, I ended up treating my blog as a job (even though it is) and not having fun with it like I should be. So that’s why for like 2 weeks I was inactive and just scheduling posts like a zombie. Maybe it went unnoticed so let’s just move on. lol

I’m sharing a list of shows I watched when I was avoiding my blogging duties and also decided to make a list of movies that give me autumn + spooky vibes.

Shows to watch when you want to ignore all responsibilities:

Synopsis: A Korean boy from a poor family escapes to the United States after the 1871 Shinmiyangyo incident and returns to his homeland during a historical turning point. Now an officer with the American military, Eugene falls in love with Ae-sin and discovers a dark scheme to colonize the country from which he once fled. Ae-sin tries to figure out if Eugene is a friend as they figure out what the word “love” means.

I got hooked on Mr. Sunshine and cried a few times so I can honestly say it was good.

Kang Mi Rae was once bullied for her looks. As a result, she decides she wants a fresh start and gets plastic surgery. When she begins university, she meets Do Kyung Suk from their middle school days.
As Mi Rae begins to get teased and labeled “Gangnam Beauty”, the cold, aloof but kind Kyung Suk becomes the person that stands up for her and in the process, Mi Rae begins to recover her lost confidence and discovers that true beauty is not on the outside.

Another show I got hooked on even though I’m not interested in plastic surgery stories.

Terrace House is a Japanese reality television show franchise. The show follows the lives of six strangers, three men and three women from different walks of life, who live under the same roof while getting to know and date each other.

I’m not into reality shows, but TH isn’t too annoying and dramatic as most are, so I really enjoyed it. I watched Terrace House : Opening New Doors which seems like the most boring one, but I just liked the people in this one because they seem like genuine strangers looking to date and not only looking for fame. You might want to join the show too because it gives these super ordinary people so many followers on instagram lol

  • omg yess, TH is the only reality show I’ve enjoyed (although I just watched Aloha State and haven’t continued with Opening New Doors) And I ABSOLUTELY loved Train to Busan!!

    • I go back to netflix almost every day to see if there’s any new episodes :/ It’s hard because i know what might happen next since i follow some of the people on their IG lol!
I might check out the other seasons! I’m just obsessed with the people in Opening New Doors hehe
and yeah that movie is THE best zombie movie I’ve ever seen!

      • SAME! I follow some of the first group and I ended up being spoiled about sean and tsubasa getting together. And also I saw that they left and I don’t know if I want to continue it anymore 😭

        • tbh im just into it to see what happens to taka. I kinda wanted Ami to be with him but now i wanna see what happens with him. I have a hunch that he’s gonna leave without getting to meet a girl (i saw on his ig lol) anyway yeah it’s cute at least sean and tsubasa are still together, i was SOO happy when my friend told me that

  • The Lovely Bones is a really sad movie. Even when I watch it again, I can still get goosebumps with the scenes. And Hotarubi no Mori e is probably my favourite anime movie of all time. The plot is simple but it’s really good. I have already watched some on your list so I’ll probably going to watch the ones that I havent heard of!

    • I agree!! there’s one scene where chills go down my spine. I thought it was really beautiful too, some scenes at least.
Thanks that makes me glad you want to check the other ones out!

If you have anything you think I would like please lmk, I always like adding new things to my list <3

  • Oh my gosh, girl–this is such an amazing list!! I watched Amelie with my boyfriend a few weeks back and I absolutely love that movie. It’s so strange but in the best of ways! 💗Also, Spirited Away is one of my fav movies! The animation is just so incredible! x

  • I love your list of autum/halloween movies, it’s given me so many ideas. I love watching spooky movies (more ghost then outright horror) around this time of year.

  • Sometimes, blogging can be overwhelming and it’s totally okay to take a little break. Love that there are so many different movies to watch for the season. Coco is a really nice movie. I enjoyed it! Oooh, the Harry Potter series is perfect! I need to check some of these recs. Thanks for sharing!

    Nancy ♥

    • Yes it can get super overwhelming. I took a really nice break haha but i did kinda feel guilty 😞
I enjoyed coco too, it really gives me halloween vibes so i just had to list it. Hope you find something you can enjoy from this list 🤗☺

    • I’m not too into harry potter, but every single time it’s on TV, i cant help but sit through it. It gives me super autumn vibes i just cant get myself to change channels lol
