Day 3: Quote Challenge ― Minna So

don't give up! quote

Hello all, I hope your Saturday is going great! I want to thank Sarish for tagging me in this challenge. If it wasn’t for her, I wouldn’t have been so active this week lol. It was really fun doing this and getting myself to post something for three days straight was exciting. It was easier than I thought it would be lol. Anyways, Sarish is a blogger who shares stories about her life, opinions and adventures which are very insightful and inspiring. Check her out at!

My last quote for this 3-day challenge is by illustrator and designer Minna So:

❝ don’t give up on the person you’re becoming. ❞ ―

This quote means a lot to me since I’ve recently started changing a lot about myself for the better. I’m kind of getting ready for the next 50 or 60 years of my life and I need a change. I don’t need to change everything all at once, but I at least want to get started.

I think this quote by Minna So is one that we can all relate to at some point in our lives. Since we are usually always the first ones to give up on ourselves, we kind of need to hear “don’t give up” every once in a while. When I first went vegetarian, I cheated and basically gave up to the taste of orange chicken lol. It was a huge mistake because the moment someone called me a murderer for eating it, I felt really bad and hated myself for a while. At that time I gave up on myself for being the person I wanted to be, and I was a kid so I was really hard on myself for the next few months trying to get back to being a vegetarian.

It was hard work but I made it happen. Although I did eat seafood, I didn’t beat myself up for not going 100% vegetarian. Now I’m not giving up on who I want to become and I just take my time. It’s all lessons we learn, so don’t beat yourself for not reaching your goals, just get better and better for the next opportunity that comes. You wouldn’t give up on someone you love and adore so don’t give up on yourself either. If no one else is gonna give it you those supportive words, you at least can have yourself to say them!

Make sure to check out Minna So’s Instagram below, there you will see a bunch of other quotes that are super relatable. I love when some random person from the internet says everything that I’m thinking. It really feels like we’re not as alone as we think we are!

Today I nominate:

Carly, Fiona @questionsfromateenager, Mars @callmemars and anyone else who would like to participate!

For anyone who wants to join, just make sure to follow these rules:

  • Thank the person who nominated you.

Here are links to Day 1 and Day 2 of this challenge, in case you missed out on them.

Thank you all for reading and I hope you enjoyed this challenge! I’m thinking of taking a break this weekend since it’s that time of the month for me and my stomach and legs are in pain! Also I worked so hard in editing my theme because I was messing with the code too much and made the colors look so bad lol, but I got it back to normal (thankfully!!). Have a fun Saturday everyone!
