15 Free Apps a lonely girl needs on her phone.

Hello all my fellow lonely gals… how are you today?
Since you’re probably all home because of you know what..
I’ve been on the hunt for apps that I NEED in my life. During this quarantine, I’ve found lots of games to play on mobile but also apps that are essential for a lonely gal to get by.
I believe if you consider yourself a “lonely” girl, these apps should be in your phone, or you can at least give them a try and see how they make you feel.
These apps will either help you accept being lonely or you can also get out of your shell and find people to be lonely with!
15 Free Apps for Lonely Girls
1. TALK LIFE
available for IOS and Android
When you want to be ALONE with your thoughts, you might also want someone to be there to hear you and try to feel understood.
That’s what the Talk Life App is great for! I tried this app and instantly got responses to my problems and basically my cries for help.
It’s like social media for when you’re feeling down, and you will actually get support! Genuine support at that.
I tried it, but it was also very toxic for me because there was just a lot of sadness and I also wanted to be sad after reading some posts. I couldn’t really help anyone, or even GET help. So I deleted it. I still believe it can be a great app for others, just not for me!

2. CO-STAR
available for IOS and Android
Co-star is a really cute app to read up on your own astrology/horoscope.
I love it, I don’t really understand it much, but i love the aesthetics and reading my horoscope whenever I remember to.
This app is for anyone who loves astrology and wants to get a daily update about their goals, sex-life, friendships, feelings, and more!
That’s why I can’t get rid of it.
Below is my horoscope for today. It may not be super accurate because I sort of forgot the time of day I was born LOL
If you’re curious, I did actually take some time to look outside like my horoscope said.. to my surprise, I saw the cat I’ve been trying to look for! It’s a fluffy black cat that hangs around our backyard and we saw it dash past the back door. I opened it to see if they were still by the side of the house. They heard the door open and they peeked out to look at me and it was so cute!
The cat saw us come closer so they ran to the front. We kept eating food and talking, and the cat came back and was staring at us from outside the back door. It continued chasing whatever it was chasing.

I know this doesn’t really fall into the category of “lonely girls”, but it’s an app to help check up on myself. It’s actually a smart app that isn’t just a joke or an aesthetic, which I enjoy.
3. CUMO
I don’t really love this app because it contains ads. Other than the ads, I truly think it’s the best note-taking app. What I mean by note-taking is just those lists you make on your phones notepad app, but CUMO is a cuter way of doing that. That’s all.
CUMO has 3 categories, Memo, To-Do List and D-Day.
I use this app to make lists and notes instead of using my phone’s note app. I’m honestly thinking of using a different one, or making my own, because I cannot handle the ads. Sorry developer! They’re probably stealing my data anyways…
For now, we can’t delete this app because it’s just so cute and perfect and useful!
4. GRATITUDE APP
available for IOS and Android
Gratitude is a very simple app that is free, but offers a way to pay to get a better experience. I don’t believe it’s worth it because I just needed an app to quickly jot down what I’m grateful for because I’m not always in the mood to nicely hand write what I’m grateful for in my cute gratitude journal.
BUT THAT’S JUST ME.
This app is basically a gratitude journal in itself. Do you know any good gratitude journal type of apps? Let me know below!
Also, there is an app I also am enjoying that’s pretty much the same thing, but the theme is a bit different. It’s called the Delightful Gratitude App, and I will try them both out and determine which i like most and update this post!
5. Bumble BFF
available for IOS and Android
I was on this app yesterday and could not get off! I was finding new potential besties left n right!! It’s fun, but I HATE how my location has to be on in order to use the app. That’s not the case for many other “dating” apps, so I’m not sure why bumble requires it.

6. Hey! VINA
available for IOS and Android
This app is just like Bumble BUT it’s only for women. It’s fun but it can be kind of dry sometimes. I have yet to meet up with anyone from the app, but that’s usually my fault since I moved away and also don’t respond too much to anyone else. I have that problem…
I prefer this app to Bumble because I don’t need to turn on my location just to be on the app.
7. DISCORD
available for IOS and Android
This app is mostly for gamers? I’m gonna be honest, I don’t really know what is going on with this app, but since I’m dipping my wee toes in the streaming world on Twitch, I’ve decided to try out discord. It can be really helpful for your community who want to know what time you’re going live.
I’ve joined a few communities on there just to see what else you can do on the app, and really you can find new friends on there. So I included it here for that reason.
8. SPOON
available for IOS and Android
I recently was on this to check it out and I had so much fun chatting with some users. Although I did not feel very welcomed. I don’t really understand it, but I’m pretty sure it’s like a talk show and you can visit everyone’s room to chat, but some people may find it weird if you just stay there without chatting. So it’s like, am I welcome here or not lol
I decided I will give it a shot and talk one day just to try to make a community. Yeah, I’m just a queen of trying to make communities, but there’s nothing wrong with that LOL
If you join, let’s be friends!
9. Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp
available for IOS and Android
Why is this app so good for lonely girls? Well, I just got on it this morning, and I felt well how can I be lonely? There’s so many other users on it doing exactly what I’m doing!
It helps that it’s a really fun game to play. Currently I’m playing to get all the cute event items.
10. SLOWLY
available for IOS and Android
This is an app I’ve decided to delete because it’s a pretty SLOW app. As in, there’s not too much action when you check it out. I was talking to people from all over the world, but… that’s all you can really do. I don’t feel like it’s right to ask them if they have social media, and really that’s not the point of the app.
To be honest, I downloaded it when I really needed someone to talk to, and I must say, it was really helpful!
Anyways, the app is like a virtual pen-pal app. You just send letters and receive them as well.
11. AMINO APP
available for IOS and Android
This app is great for people who want to join communities of all kinds and not have to be the same in all groups. Does that make sense? Probobaly not, but basically. You can join a bujo community and have a certain profile picture and name and bio, and join an art community and have a completely different profile.
12. #SELFCARE
available for IOS and Android
This app is a super helpful app for when you feel like being slow.
I really can’t delete it, even though it’s not really my cup of tea. It’s still really great for those days when you really need to focus on yourself, virtually?
I’ll include gameplay of mine hehe
13. TWITCH
available for IOS and Android
Probably the best app to stream your voice or even yourself on video. You can go live and post your art, music gaming, anything. It’s basically like Youtube live but it’s a lot less popular than youtube, and the community is mostly males, I would say. I’m not too sure but that’s what I see from being on there.
14. Lyf
So I just joined this app and it seems really good! It’s like a journal where you can share whatever you want and people have to follow the post in order to make comments. It’s kind of like Reddit or Quora.
You can also make personal chats with people and send friend requests which I like because just following people can be kind of boring.
15. Pinterest
Yes I know it seems odd, but you can definitely have fun and enjoy the pinterest app if you’re a lonely gal.
Look at me, I literally go on this app every single day. I have my community board on it, but I also have others which people DM me to join.
One that I like is the Vegans of Pinterest board because people actually post on it.
What are apps you use on the daily? Do you consider yourself a lonely girl? What did you get in the bingo?

Wow these are great suggestions and I would definitely agree that co-star and pinterest are good ways to spend a lot of free time! ❤
Awesome list you have here! Definitely filled with ideas, they’re all very interesting for me as this is the first time I’ve heard of most of them. I want to try out Slowly some time, as I’ve always wanted to have a penpal. Thanks for sharing with us your thoughts and experiences on these apps 🙂

This is a great list of apps and some of them I use daily. I can’t go a day without opening Twitch, Discord, or Pinterest. I’ve used Slowly, Hey! Vina, and the Amino App. I might redownload them and give them another try. I’m definitely a lonely girl and can check off almost every square on the bingo sheet.
Some of these apps seem neat, so I’ll take a look at them when I can! But honestly, the one I want to have the most is Pocket Camp… only it’s not available in my country. 😢
My go-to apps at the moment are LINE chat app and Youtube (because I like vlogs haha).
Thank you so much for sharing this! I’ve used some of these apps before like Animal Crossings: Pocket Camp (it compensates for not owning a nintendo switch 😭) as well as co-star (which you can add me @nikkia124). I have Pinterest, but I need to go back on that and work on my Pinterest boards! But this is a great list, and I’ll be sure to check out the rest of them 🙂
